The products and overall aesthetic of this place are wonderful, and the staff is usually very sweet and helpful. However, my experience today around 3 PM was very different. The woman at the front desk did not greet or welcome me, ask if I needed help, and was unnecessarily rude. It was a complete 180° from my usual experiences here, which was disappointing. 😕

I grabbed some eggs, sausage, potting soil and a little treat for the ride home for myself. I spent about 10min shopping and 20min chatting with staff and other customers by the register. It really does feel like a classic general store. Indianola needs more stuff like this. Happy to see the transformation.

I stopped by the new location of City Folk’s Farm Shop on Indianola and couldn’t be more excited to see them continue growing in Clintonville. The new space is welcoming, thoughtfully organized, and filled with quality gardening supplies, homesteading products, local foods, and knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about helping people succeed.
